sidewinder pro team
HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT
So it is with great pleasure that Sidewinder Lures for 2024 now have a Sidewinder Pro Team. We have not chosen our Pro-Team Members based on how active they are on social media or how many followers they have, we have chosen them based on 3 things.
That they have supported us over the years with pictures, feedback and encouragement.
They epitomise what we think are great anglers! i.e they eat, sleep, live and breathe fishing.
Lastly they really believe in Sidewinder Lures and love using them.
Ben Stoten – The Amputee Angler
With a family background in commercial fishing, he spent his early childhood fishing and working from the many boats and inshore waters of Sussex and had the pleasure of learning from some truly great skippers that were around back in the day in this part of the world.
A career in the military saw him leave the commercial industry, but he would later sustain serious injury’s in Afghanistan that means most of his fishing these days is done from his boat, here in Eastbourne and he is happiest when out in the mid English Channel away from the crowds chasing those big Pollack and Bass on deep wrecks or Autumn Turbot on Banks.
Ben is a bear of a man, an inspiration, and a perfect gentleman, who we are very pleased to have on our Sidewinder Lures Pro Team. So please make some noise for Ben Stoten!
Jake Davison – Muscle Fishing
Jake Davison has always fished, from a 3 year old boy right up to now. He was predominantly a coarse/carp angler which we won’t hold against him until he was 21 when he moved to Eastbourne. Since moving to Eastbourne he began shore/beach fishing, but soon moved on to kayak fishing and then eventually a SIB. His obsessive nature meant he learned this new discipline quickly.
He then moved onto a 3m Poly Craft Tuffy from which he’s caught tiny Corkwing Wrasse, 80LB Blue Sharks in Cornwall and 170lb plus Common Skate in Scotland. He loves doing the impossible and showing what can be done with small boats.
Having met Jake you quickly realise that he is absolutely obsessed with fishing and as such we are very happy to have him on the sidewinder Pro Team. Please make some noise for Jake Davison.
Adrian Kruger
Adrian started fishing at the age of 5 at Hayling Island when he caught a Kipper In a push net! That was him hooked and he has now been fishing now for 62 years.
He studied and obtained a BSC degree in Fishery Science when he was a younger man. Now living near the sea in Plymouth, these days he is mainly a sea angler, both shore and boat, but he also enjoys fly fishing during the winter months targeting specimen trout.
Over the years he has built up a huge wealth of knowledge, which helps him to be in the right place at the right time. His favourite fishing is lure fishing for Bass and Pollack in the UK and targeting Halibut, Cod and Coalfish in Northern Norway. He has been very lucky to have caught some fantastic specimens and is still ticking new species off his bucket list.
Adrian has fought in more wars, killed more men and chased more tail than any man alive (only joking, he is a true gentleman, longtime friend of Sidewinder Lures with a wealth of fishing knowledge and stories) and as such we are very pleased to have him on our Sidewinder Lures Pro Team. If anyone is going to be reeling in the monsters its him!!
CHRIS GODDARD
Fishing has always been a massive part of his life. He became hooked on fishing at a very young age through his Grandfather, a very keen fisherman. He used to coarse fish rivers and lakes around the Midlands and also went fishing out on a boat in the sea in parts of Mid-Wales during the holidays.
After a long apprenticeship training to be a Farrier he relocated to Falmouth in Cornwall and bought a Warrior boat. This allows him to get out on the sea at every opportunity. He practices several disciplines of sea fishing including lure, bait and big game.
Chris is cool, calm and collected with a quiet intensity when it comes to talking about fishing. He is a true all rounder and very talented angler and such we are stoked to have him on our Sidewinder Pro Team. So make some noise for Chris Goddard.
DAVE COLLINS-SOLENT WARRIOR
Dave started fishing at an early age of around 6 years with his father, mainly in the local creek fishing for flounder and bass. Sometimes pier fishing for mini species such as wrasse, blennies and pollock.
“I then had a long beach fishing career. Travelling to Norway each year for 6 years, until I found my love for boat fishing and decided that my own boat was the way forward, rather than relying on charters to find the fish.” We are more than happy to have Dave on our Sidewinder Lures Pro Team.
